Don’t you quit on me!!!

Let me start this post with this amazing poem whose author is unknown to me, but if you know him or her, please let me know, poems like this are part of my secret weapons as a warrior:

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

After placing this poem, I let a week pass by, waiting for a lighting bolt to spring me into coming up with those clever words that would make this post memorable for you reader, but I can’t find anything to say other than:

don’t…ever…give…up when the publishers, the producers tell you no!

do…give…up when your girlfriend/boyfriend tell you no!

don’t…ever…give…up when you pray and He’s not answering!

don’t…ever…give…up when they tell you it’s over when you are just getting started!

do…give…up when you hurt someone and you can’t heal or when you kill and you don’t give life!

it’s not because you are alive that you are not dying, you have to keep you head in Heaven and your feet solidly planted on Earth to survive this short breeze we like to call life.

Decide.Today.To be.All.You. can be.
