Singer

She just knew the perfect pressure

To put on words to turn them into a song

A perfect melancholy for the loss of your shadow

She brought to the surface

The troubling and calming feeling

Of watching the painting of a sea

And I could start feeling the wind

Brush the hair on my arms

And I passed my tongue around my lips

To taste the salty and warm spit of the sea

All this would take place in four and half minutes

And by the time she would leave the stage

You would regret returning to the smokes and mirrors

Of another night out with friends

Which always leaves you full of them

And empty of yourself

You would smile because it helps

To keep the demons at bay

But tonight you have been at the source

Her words have brought you  life, light and laughter

And performance or not

There wasn’t anything you wouldn’t give

To hear her move worlds again

Listen to her speak god into being

But she had no name

And like the wind she came and went

As it pleased her

So you became a street performer

Bending your body into impossible angles

Singing of truth and love in a broken voice

Just to see her again

And together you would turn

A day into eternity

And eternity into a day

  1. So wonderfully you capture her “coming and going”.
Love this portion of her dance:
You would regret returning to the smokes and mirrors
Of another night out with friends
Which always leaves you full of them
    And empty of yourself

You visualize details with an effect, Jomul. And you do it very well.
